Frequently asked questions about Patient Navigators
Depending on your insurance, you may be able to get NUCALA in different ways:

You can receive NUCALA directly from a specialty pharmacy. Specialty pharmacies provide medicines for serious or chronic conditions that need special handling, storage, or administration, and may not be available at regular pharmacies.
Your specialty pharmacy will work with you, your doctor, and insurance companies to make sure you get the medicine you need safely and on time. While your prescription is being approved, the specialty pharmacy will call you to discuss important information and collect your copay. If you don't hear from them, be sure to check your voicemail for any message about prescriptions to avoid possible delays.
Once you pay your copay, NUCALA will be shipped directly to you or, if you receive NUCALA in your doctor’s office, to that location instead.

In some cases, your doctor will order, purchase, and administer NUCALA in the office. After your treatment, the doctor’s office sends a bill to your health insurance for the cost of the medication and its administration. Your insurance then processes the claim and pays the doctor. You may be responsible for a copay, which you would pay directly to the doctor’s office at your visit or after receiving a bill. If you are enrolled in the NUCALA Copay Program, your doctor’s office will collect your copay card information to apply to your out-of-pocket responsibility.
This means you don’t need to pick up the medication form a pharmacy. Everything is handled through your doctor’s office. For more information, talk to your doctor, your insurance, or your Patient Navigator.
